Great Barrier Reef

A few months ago, in a poster competition, Joshua won a family ticket to Green Island and the Barrier Reef. We took an 1hr 15 minute Catamaran out to the island, where we had the day to explore, swim and snorkel before coming home. We also had a trip on a glass bottomed boat.
Here are a few pictures:

Photos continued..Yesterday's wildlife

More photos

I can't help thinking that God did a great job when he created far north Queensland. Yesterday we ventured north onto one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. If this is earth with all its faults and imperfections think what heaven's going to be like! I only took 197 photos! Don't worry I will only post a few here.
These photos show a few shots of the coast road driving North out of Cairns. We ended up in Port Douglas about 1 hour north and then stopped off at one of the beaches on the way home.

Out and About

Spent the day today out and about near Cairns. We visited a butterfly place, went to the Barron Falls and then to 'Rainforestation'. Here are a few photos.

Winter holiday

Well, the winter holidays have started, not quite the winter holidays we are used to! The first Sunday afternoon we went to the beach and had fish and chips. You can see how cold it is! This is only a two week holiday as the big 'summer' holiday is in December/January.

If you swam from here, you would eventually reach South America!
